A Day in the Sun! {finally}

So we decided to change it up a little, and not be hermits anymore...Since it was so nice out, we headed over to Thanksginving Point for a little Farm fun!! Jake and Sophie are such a good age now to really enjoy it. They got along great, Sophie Bossing Jake...and Jake Bossing Sophie. They loved the Carrige ride, and the Pony ride the best. They have been really into horses, and have picked some really odd horse movies on Netflix. But we had fun un-hermit-izing ourselves. The weather was great, and I even got a little burned. LOVE THE SUN!!!
So just a little Background info on the next pic. These 2 kids are SO SO Bossy, especially to eachother. Jake kept grabbing Sophie and telling her to get into Jail...So this is what she did back...in a really growly mad voice. It was so funny!

(Notice her two finger point, it is so funny that she points like that)

Catch-Up

Hold on people, this is going to knock your Socks off...I haven't blogged for almost a month, and I was going to be better...well?? So here is a good one!
To start off Check this Sucker out!
I am not even kidding when I say...WHY DO I BUY HER WHITE SHIRTS??? They look so cute, but they stress me out. They only stay white for 5 min, if we are lucky! So I had to take a Picture of what they look like at the end of the day.
Yah, EEWW!!
So Jake is getting so OLD!! I just realized today is his 1/2 Birthday...and he is 3 1/2, where the heck did time go? He is so smart, he has learned to read a few words. Jake has such a contagious smile, and he makes me laugh everyday. He also makes me cry too... He is a good button pusher. He love his Little sis, and his Brother. He is a big helper, and 90% of the time will run grab things, turn off lights, find my keys, and takes a nap. Although the nap thing USUALLY comes when Charlie gets home. It makes me so mad that I want him to sleep...he won't hardly do it for me! He loves to ride his big boy bike, play outside, get dirty, go on walks, play at the park, and cause Havoc. But I love him, and I really would have such a boring life without this kid!! He loves to sing primary songs, and always makes me sing 'I love to see the Temple' when we drive by it. He loves to go to church, and all collared shirts are 'church shirts'. He talks so cute, and messes up saying like I do...One of my favorites...You silly 'Jerk', I did quickly correct him to goose. He exaggerates all his k sounds. He has started always asking 'What time is it?', and 'Whats that about?'. Oh, and the faces he pulls...the one below is his new favorite one, such a funny boy!
Oh, Sophie Sophie Sophie. There are no words to describe this little Sassy Girl. She has turned into such a tender hearted, feisty, diva, and become such a girly girl. She hates to get in trouble, but lately has been getting in more and more trouble. She gets to stand in the 'corner' for time out. She is the best time out kid ever...she goes in, and does't even try to get out until I tell her to. She loves Dora, and anything Princess or Buzz. Quite the extremes. I belive I may have to start watching Dora with her, since Sophie is probably going to start speaking Spanish...LOL. She is a little Parrot, and repeats ANYTHING, and EVERYTHING she hears. It is so cute to hear anything come out if her cute little mouth...it all sounds so stinkin CUTE! We are having a hard time getting her in trouble, because she knows just what to do to make us do that 'ohhh, but she is so cute' thing. She has started to fight back with Jake, and he doesn't like that when he teases her now, she DECKS him. No Joke, Jake has been brought to tears because of it! She loves to do anything that Jake does, she loves her dolls, playing cars, watching movies, Eating PIZZA (she has eaten 3 regular slices in one sitting before), dancing, going on walks, her blanket..and her mom of course. She sits really well to get her hair done, if she has fruit snacks. She has the cutest giggle, and is constantly laughing or smiling. Still suck on her fingers when she gets tired, and has to have her blanket to go to sleep. She is good at pulling faces, I am sure it has nothing to do with her brother...
Oh, MY!! I just simply adore my little Kason Boy. He is such a happy baby. He has been bigger by quite a bit than the other 2. By almost 4 lbs at their 4 month checks. Jake was 12.5 Sophie was 12, and Kason was a WHOPPING 16.3!! He has been such a Joy to have in our home. He is great...until it is time for Nighttime bedtime....he likes to not go to sleep, and wake up every 3 hrs. He is getting better but by golly, my other 2 were sleeping 10+ hours by 6 weeks old! Oh well, I knew this day would come, I could only be sooo luck with my first 2. Kason is so fun, he has started grabbing things which has been bad on a couple occasions...my 44oz during plummeting to the floor, and almost dumping my dinner on him because he pulled them!! He lives to be held, he is defiantly a mommy's boy, he loves to play with his toes now, he has chubby little legs, he likes to scratch, he has the most adorable smile, he is super ticklish (I love to tickle his little neck), he has been my longest nurser...probably because I get to stay home, but I am grateful for that, and he is a curl up side sleeper just like his mom! I tend to sleep with him in our bed more than I did the other kids because I am more tired, and he sleeps better with me and I sleep. :-) Kason loves his Bouncer, he is a maniac in that thing. I love him so much, and no matter how hard it is, or how tired I am by the end of the day...I would NOT TRADE it for ANYTHING!
I love my Family, and am grateful to have such a supportive husband. I couldn't do it without him...I LOVE HIM! He is a great daddy, and the kids love when he gets home from work. They love to take him Lunch and go to his work.
We got to go to Vegas a few weeks ago, here are some pics of that...we spent MOST of the time at my Sister CaLea's soccer tournament! But we had fun in the 80+ degree weather! Not to mention that it was nice just to get away for a few days.

A common random weekend for us is to go shooting with Charlie's family. This particular time was fun, because we got to use our new camera and get some AWESOME shots!

More to Come...

So in my header...don't you love Jake's face, he was pulling them on purpose!! He is such a stink!! But it made me laugh when I saw them, they all (maybe like 5 that we took) all had a similar face. We were so lucky to be able to take my Sister CaLea to Vegas this weekend for a Soccer Tourney...2 words 'eighty degrees'. Pictures to follow soon...when I get home. But I have a bit of catching up to do, between: Sophie's 2nd Birthday, our Vegas trip, Kason's 4 month check...sneak peak to that (16.3 lbs). Yah, see you soon Blog, but I am out for now.

Funny Boys

So Jake is getting really good at talking, and makes me laugh everyday!! He is pronouncing words great, only has problems with the 'th' which he says as a 'f'', and 'l' which he pronounces as 'w'. He has a few things he says really cute, and I am torn because I want to start teaching him the correct way...but it is so cute the way it is!! A few of the cute and funny things he says!
handkerchief - tissue chip
cool - coo
earlier - erlerlier
cupcake - potty cake (I think that this came from him getting one as a potty treat)
thanks - tanks or fanks
Amber - Amberger (this is one of his friends from Church)
iPod - ah pod
nothing - nufing
Some Movies
Meet the Robinson's - Guys
Madagascar - Giraffe one
Dispicable Me - pisapicable me
Toy Story - To Infinity
How to Train Your Dragon - DrAAGons

Kason has started Cooing so much. And Smiles at everything and everyone, he is such a cheese! He has gotten to where he loves to grab onto things (such as: Blanket, burp rag, taggie, etc.) He has scared me a few times because he pulls the blankets over his face lately. He is such a happy boy, and sleeps great (in the day) and is up all night!! But we still love him! He has got a death grip, I heard Sophie scream (like Jake had hit her) so instinctively I told Jake to knock it off...to get the response form him ' I didn't do nufing'. I looked and to my surprise, Kason had grabbed her neck and was squeezing it to death. She was not too happy about that, she kept telling me Kason hurt me!

I have 2 funny Boys, and too bad for Sophie to be stuck right in the middle. I fear that she is going to set the brunt of them! But she will be one tough COOKIE!!

100 Post!!

Random Factoid...This will be my 100th Post since I have started blogging!

On to the fun stuff now!
We went to The Discovery Gateway with my Cousin and her Boys. I really wish we had gotten a group shot, but alas...they were too busy having fun! It is such a fun trip! Here they are as New Anchors. These ones of Jake were a MIRACLE...he was wired by the time we got upstairs, and was quite literally running from one side to the other. There were so many things to do, and Jake couldn't get enough.
Here is part of the town place...the House, Sophie LOVED the kitchen. She liked putting things in and out of the cupboards. And she liked all the 'little' things.
Ok this little thing...was so cool. There were a bunch of places to put balls, my favorite was the one that sucked them up. It blew their hair all over when they opened the little hatch. Jake liked the ones he had to crank up.
CRAZIES!! Sophie tried to walk up the Dome Wall...and Jake had to join in. I love these kiddos, they are so much fun, and make everything MORE fun! The other two pics are the construction zone...And you get the pleasure of seeing Sophie's 'cheese' face even!!
The Farm, and the gas station in the Town. Sophie really liked the horsie! And rode all the little bikes and things...and actually got stuck under one becasue she tried to get out by going under it?? Such a funny girl. Oh, and I love all the mini 'leather' furniture!
What a Hoot, here she is UNDER the little car.
They got SOAKED, but had a blast playing in the water. I am pretty sure that they were so soaked that they were wet the rest of the night.
Overall, an awesome trip, there was so much for them to do. And they loved it. We decided that we are going to have to make the trip every once and a while...maybe buy a yearly pass. The best part was it was nice to get out of the rutt, and be out of the house!!

Lots of Pictures.

Downloaded a Bunch of pictures off my camera... Here is what I found...to be continued too!!

A little Zoned watching a movie...the ONLY way to have a few minutes (and I mean a few) to let me get a few things done. No I don't leave Kason with them...They love him TOO much to be safe!! :)
Such a cute boy...who couldn't love this. His sister sure does love him!! She loves holding him. She is too cute with him. Love them!
Ok, so I put Kason in the tub, and he held onto his seat for dear life...it was definitely picture worthy!
Kason's cute shark towel he got for Christmas from his Aunt Lizzi...it is super cute!! And he makes it cuter!
Well, for the last few weeks, we have all had the ickies. Jake probably got it the worst...it took him a couple weeks to get rid of it. We are still fighting the boogies that won't seem to go away!!
And Sophie has grown very fond of Jakes old Jammies...who can blame her she looks up to Jake and loves playing with him. You can find her in her Pretties (necklaces, purses, etc.) playing with cars, trains, and Playing guns with Jake...Love it. They get along well...half of the time!
The Sharpie Adventures...I SWEAR I put them away, but when I forget the Sharpie Monsters always get them.
The Culprit...
The Damage, with the victims. Even the Doll got it, and I am glad I caught it before Kason did, he was next in line I am sure!! Dang Sophie...it is rather funny though that it wasn't Jake...Kindof surprised Actually!
I gave Kason a mini trim... because his hair is getting all rubbed off. I think I am more sad with him because he started out with so much more...hopefully it will stay a bit darker, but it looks like it is coming in more blonde. Oh well, look how cute he looks in the Cutting Cape...p.s Bumbo's make for an excellent cutting seat!

Here they are tonight!! I sure love these Kids!
And I got this one, Sophie was wanting to lay by Kason while we were watching a movie...and this Picture is so funny of her...She went down for a nap shortly after this. She looks sooo Tired.

My 2 Month Tank!

Lets Just Say...I do not know what to do with a Big Baby!! Just for fun I looked to see how big Jake and Sophie were and...Jake was 10.5 lbs and Sophie was 10 lbs. Yah I do not know where he came from, But he is such a sweet boy so I guess we will keep him! He has started smiling all the time. He smiles the most at Sophie, go figure! He hasn't started sleeping through the night yet, but HOPEFULLY soon. He has been such a blessing to our home and we all LOVE this Cute BOY!

Monkey Island

There is this new place in Lehi, called Monkey Island. It is kind of fun...it is all those blow up toys. We went with my family, and I thought it was kind of cool because adults are free and kids 3 and older are only $5.
Anyways a little off subject my little Jake is not so little any more, he turned 3 and now we have to start paying for him when we go places, He is now a little boy. Where has that time gone. It still gets me that he is growing up so fast!
Back on subject, Jake loved this place, and me and Charlie took turns playing on them with him and Sophie. It was funny, because Sophie would just giggle the whole way down. They thought it was great!! So here are some pics.
(sorry the pictures are blury, but it was the best I could do since they were being crazy!)

Kason Dale Thurston 10.29.2010

Kason has been such a blessing in our home. He is so fun, the kids LOVE him to death. He has brought our home so much love, and we love him.

He is already 6 weeks old, it is crazy how fast time flies by. It is almost Christmas, that is insane!

Here is my version of how Kason got here!
(sorry I linked this on accident to the Picture...and cannot fix it.)
Well it all started on that Tuesday before. I wasn't feeling well so I went into the Doctors to make sure all was well. And my blood pressure was a bit high, so he sent me into the hospital to monitor me for a while. Everything was borderline, but fine. So they sent me home {on bedrest mind you}, and a urine test. I had to put all of it into a Jug, YAH GROSS...and come back 24 hours later to get it tested. So into the Hopital...again. They hooked me up to the monitors again, and was checking my blood pressure. Well yet again, my blood pressure was a little high, and my urine test cameback high...but fine enough to send me home YET again {and still on bedrest} ARG! So I got to sit around all day until Friday Morning! As great as it sounds...it was awful!
Anyways, the good part:
So I was scheduled to go back for my C-Section at 7am, so I had to be to the hospital by 5 AM...not my favorite. But I did wake up great, and I was excited so it wasn't too bad.

Little Kason came into the world at 7:36 in the Morn
ing. It took them a while to get him out, they kept saying, he is a big one. I kept thinking right, whatever a big 7 pounds maybe?? Sophie had been my biggest at 6 lbs 15 oz...so I didn't think much of it until...the nurse said 8 lbs 4 oz. I just about lost it and almost asked for her to double check if he was really mine?? Not to mention he had
LOTS of DARK hair. So he didn't fit my ususal mold, but he was mine and that is all that mattered. And I wan't pregnant anymore, and he was
a a Stud!
Here are some pictures from the Hospital.

Sophie's TEETH

Sophie has Been Crank-Y!! But she has a good reason...both her Bottom 2 Middle teeth came in. I feel so bad Jake's at least came in one at a time. She has been a Trooper, and really not that cranky Just more than Normal. I really did try to get a picture, she was NOT going to Cooperate!! But here it is anyways. And her Hair is FINALLY, FINALLY, coming in Halleluja... it is getting longer, but it is so dang Blonde anyone but me and Charlie can barely tell!! I put it up a couple days ago Because I was so excited, I cannot wait for Her first Ponytail!!

Jake's New favorite thing is to play with stickers and color. Which is totally fine with me EXCEPT that he loves to Color on EVERYTHING (besides what he is supposed to) and Puts stickers Everywhere, I have had to invest in GOO GONE!! I have been letting him have some projects to do in his High Chair so I can get some things done, and yes I am one of those Playdough Moms. But back to the Coloring and Sticker thing... I have been trying to teach him the correct way to play with these items; so I stuck him in his High Chair, gave him some old stickers of mine, a book to put them in, and some crayons. He went to town!! Anyways here are some of his pictures.
