What we have been up to...

Ok Just to Start...Jake has been sitting in the Baby Swing, he LOVES it!! He watches movies in it, he will turn the music on and swing himself. On this occasion he fell asleep!! It was TOO Funny!! The WORST part about this though, is Jake really doesnt take naps much anymore. If he tells me he's tired, I run and get him to bed before I lose the opportunity. Anyways, Charlie gets home around 3 and I have no Idea what happens (I VOTE HE DRUGS HIM) but Jake falls asleep, and they both get a nap. It makes me mad, I need naps too!

This is our Neighbor boy, Tyler. Jake loves this kid. Tyler is 4 and Jake is 2 but they play so good together. Jake always tells me, " mom I play Tyler, peese" It is too cute, but it makes me realize just how fast Jake is growing up. Wanting to Play with friends, I am lucky though that he has one next door!! They are standing in a hole that Charlie dug a year ago to start putting up a fence, but it makes for a good play pit I guess!
This was a 70* day in November?? It was so nice we had to take FULL advantage of it, and spend like ALL DAY outside!
So my parents have a bird, and it has been really funny to watch Jake with it. He really used to not like it. He lets it stand on him now sometimes, until he starts walking around and Jake doesn't like the Claws. 2 things with this picture, first off Jake is CHEESING. He never used to smile, but I have got him saying "CHEESE". Cracks me up!! And I have a Smile, and the Bird...Both in the same pic, I am GOOD!

SOPHIE STATS:

27 in Long-45%ile

14.9 lbs- not even to the Chart yet, and it starts at 5%ile...But is getting CLOSE!

The doctor said that she needs to be around 20 lbs when she is 1...(which is in 3 months) She is growng up way too fast! But I thought 6 lbs in 3 months, YAH RIGHT!! She has gained the most weight the last 2 months and only gained 2.9 lbs, so I guess we will see!

GOT CABIN FEVER?? We did, so off to McDonald's we go!! Jake really has to get all that energy out, and our house is to small for that!

The new infamous CHEESER! He says, "cheese....ok me see?" Then proceeds to grab the camera so he can see his Picture, What a KID! He is talking so much now! It is so crazy that he is turning into a little boy, he isn't a baby any more!

OK Funny Picture! We were in Idaho at my Great Grandma's Funeral. We parked by this Grave, and I HAD to take a picture. Beer+Skiis=Death...Ok I had to!!

Sophie's TEETH

Sophie has Been Crank-Y!! But she has a good reason...both her Bottom 2 Middle teeth came in. I feel so bad Jake's at least came in one at a time. She has been a Trooper, and really not that cranky Just more than Normal. I really did try to get a picture, she was NOT going to Cooperate!! But here it is anyways. And her Hair is FINALLY, FINALLY, coming in Halleluja... it is getting longer, but it is so dang Blonde anyone but me and Charlie can barely tell!! I put it up a couple days ago Because I was so excited, I cannot wait for Her first Ponytail!!

Jake's New favorite thing is to play with stickers and color. Which is totally fine with me EXCEPT that he loves to Color on EVERYTHING (besides what he is supposed to) and Puts stickers Everywhere, I have had to invest in GOO GONE!! I have been letting him have some projects to do in his High Chair so I can get some things done, and yes I am one of those Playdough Moms. But back to the Coloring and Sticker thing... I have been trying to teach him the correct way to play with these items; so I stuck him in his High Chair, gave him some old stickers of mine, a book to put them in, and some crayons. He went to town!! Anyways here are some of his pictures.

So My Brother KAI Comes home on Wednesday!! I am so dang excited, I couldn't realize that it had really been that long. But then I started thinking:

He Left when Jake was 1 Month Old, and He is Now TWO!! Holy COW

I am sure that it is going to be a shocker, to have a 2 year old (Crazy too) Nephew, and a 8.5 Month old Neice...But I am sure he will Love it!! I have been teaching Jake to say Kai, and I got him a Picture of him too. So we will see what happens!! Anyways, Pictures to COME!!

Halloween Fright Night

We had a FUN Halloween. It was really fun for me that Jake was old enough to enjoy it. Although he was a little stinker, and was onry all day!! But I know he had fun because he didn't want to go home!! We went to my mom's ward Trunk or Treat. He had fun, and kept sneaking suckers out of his bag!! Jake was a Clown, and Sophie was a "Sweet Pea" Pod. They were both so dang Cute!! I on the other hand was a little weird, I really wanted to do something that involved a wig. So I found one and decided to be a Rock Chick, it was fun!! I got quite a few looks from people!! When we went Trick or Treating on Saturday, it took Jake a few houses, but here is what went down:

wanted to walk, and knock on the door (and not stop Knocking...LOL Sorry to those who had to witness that)

Tried to go into about 5 differnt houses before he knocked.

Said Trick or Treat 'before' they opened the door.

Took only one treat, unless they said 'go ahead have another one' and Jake took 4 more HANDFULS!! OOPs...I guess that is why they say 'don't give them an option' He took advantage.

Got scared of the Mummy on the door...and the Skulls leading up to the house. But I showed him they were ok, and tapped the one of the Skulls on the head.

Thought the Clap on Monsters were funny!!

Well we had a fun, safe, and somewhat warm Halloween. I hope everyone enjoyed theirs!!

Sophie

Yah so I just realised that I haven't posted anything that has happened with Sophie!!

So here is the Status:

She Gained her weight back up to 12 lbs.
The doctor had us on Formula 1:1 (normally 1:2) for 2 weeks.
Now we are still going to supplement but not as heavy, 1:1 1/2
I was really bummed that we still have to because now she is not wanting to nurse as good, because she knows she is getting a bottle after she eats. So I guess we will just hope she nurses good enough I don't have to stop!!
SHE IS SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT NOW!! Hurray, she was sleeping from 10 til like 5-6, which isn't really Horrible. But the last week she has been sleeping from 9 or 10 until 9!! I am so happy, and I feel like I am sleeping so much better. And Jake is sleeping in more too, he had been getting up at 7. He is sleeping til 9 now too!! I am not so ornery in the morning anymore!

GO Green, Recycle!!

Ok so the funniest part is that I am so not THAT green, that I would advertise...BUT,



I get 4 newspapers a week, doing my coupon thing, and I have been trying to figure out what to do with them once I strip out the Coupons. So I have a box for the winter when we start lighting our fires, I usually give one to the inlaws if they want one, and I found a new way to use them. This way is my favorite by far!!! It gives me 20 whole minutes of not worrying about Jake, because I know RIGHT where he is, and costs me $14 a month!! LOL

Well, I got a kick out of that, and Jake had a ball!! He even cleaned up after himself. And I wrapped a bunch of his toys, and He was still so excited when he opened them still. What a Stud!

Sophie Update!! 6 Month Check-up!!

Oh MY!! How time FLIES!! I have absolutely FALLEN IN LOVE with this little girl. She has such a fun personality. She is so happy unless she is Hungary, or Tired!! And it is a FULL ON SCREAM. I have yet to see this girlie shed a tear!! She loves to play, eat...and Chocolate...Yes she has tasted it and LOVED it!! I started feeding her cereal, and did not have a problem!! She shoves EVERYTHING in her mouth.
I took her to her 6 month checkup, and here is what happened, well lets stert with saying...on her 4 month she was 12 lbs. and On her 6 month she was 11 lbs, 4 oz. I knew she was small, but I had no idea she was loosing weight. She eats good, and rarely would get fussy, so the doctor decided to try and do a formula suppliment for a couple weeks. She seems to be getting bigger, but we will see sometime this week!! Otherwise, on comes the blood tests to see what the issue is, which I hope we don't have to do!!
I love being a mom, and my Kids make it so great. I love that they love me, and that I can be home to take care of them. I love being a full time mom, the BEST Job in the World!!

Wait...Jake is 2??

Jake spent the night at his Grandmas!! Thanks Guys!! I was able to work on his cake, sleep in...it was a good day!! I was excited for him to come home and see his cake! He loved it, he said 'mom i eat cake, elmo' It was too cute!! We got all se up for the party, had Pizza and Homemade Rootbeer!! Then on to open presents, he sat down and started opening one. When he opened it he did this like evil, excited laugh...there really is not another way to describe it!! I love that kid. He lovead all his presents, and exspecially his new trike!! He got it half way through opening his presents. Not the smartest Idea, because he just wanted to ride it. It took quite a bit of effort for him to finish!! He got like a BILLION "Noisy" Police Vehicles. Which he LOVES, but thanks guys for the headaches to come!! He actually went to bed with 3 of them...He thought it was so cool that he was able to push the buttons in the dark...and his room lit up!!

Thanks again FOR EVERYTHING...To my Friends and Family who came to celebrate My Terrible 2...LOL!! The saying, 'you are acting like a 2 year old', is more of a literal term now!! I really cannot believe how big Jake is getting, How smart he is getting. I love him so much, and he has become such a good Big Brother. He has such a big heart, and Loves his Family!! Thanks Jake for such a GREAT 2 YEARS!!

Funnies!

So for a few stories!!

I will start with a CHEESER Pic of Jake, I rarely get pics of him smiling so good...Little stinker! I was putting him to bed, and he kept hiding behind his monkey, he thought he was so funny!!

So today I went to check Jakes diaper, and realizing that I had not changed it since 12:00 this afternoon...it was 9:00 when I realized! OOPS! Anyways this is what I found, Kinda Funny!!

Ok, Sophie...so she is 6 Months now...HOLY CRAP!! Well the other day I had a few things I had to do, and she loves sitting in the high chair. So in she went, and I had Jake's leftover lunch on the tray. I pushed it clear to the edge where I thought she wouldn't get it. Well I thought WRONG!! She got it and made a big ol MESS!! THe funniest is that everytime I looked at her, she would just laugh. She was so proud of herself I am sure!! Cute girl, she is getting so dang big...in age mostly. I cannot believe it!! She is still so small, and I never realize until I see her with other kids.

WHAT A LITTLE MESS MAKER!! She did love those noodles though!

We went to the Liberty Land place in Lehi for my brother's birthday. Jake had a Blast...Here is the funny story of this trip to stay true to my title for the post...

They had one of the BIG Blow up Slide, and I didn't know how Jake would do on it. I had to help him up a few times, but he went down by himself everytime. He would jump and bounce all the way down, and face plant at the bottom. The best one he had though was when he was standing at the top, he wouldn't come down. So I proceeded to tell him I was going to get him...'fake' ran to go up the stairs. He ran and Leaped to go down the slide as fast as possible, was flying down the slide and got his foot stuck on the slide. And it made him do a full on flip at the bottom. He got up laughing, and ran and ran into the wall...(an purpose to be funny) thanks to my bro's for teaching him that trick!!! That kid cracks me up. He has no fear, and he thinks it is funny when he would crash at the bottom

Labor Day Weekend...@ the Dunes

Labor Day Weekend was a BLAST!! It was nice to get away, and RELAX!! I almost felt like I was somewhere on the beach, toes in the sand....but we stayed pretty close. Jake had his first sand experience...LOVED IT!! He couldn't get enough of it! I had brought his dump truck, and got him a shovel and bucket. He loved filling up the truck, and then dumping it into the bucket. We dug a hole, and buried Jake...I thought it might be a disaster,and he would get mad. He didn't he just giggled and tried to dig himself out with his shovel. Sophie was so funny, we put her in the sand, and she made some FUNNY Faces! Anyways...Enjoy the Pictures, I put on alot!

So I have just recently gone to the Bright Side of Grocery Shopping?? Grocery Shopping you ASK?? So here is what I got, this is the first time I went. They say by after about a month, the deals get better because you'll have more coupons.

Normally I will only spend $50 but I had a few extra things to get, and I only had a few coupons!

All in all with only a few coupons to start, knowing when and where to use them I made out pretty well. I think the best part is that I got Lots of stuff I normally do not get, and had stuff I needed, and still left spending less! Not to mention I only spent an hour and a half shopping! I will let you know when I have a really good one once I save some more coupons. I think that I may do a party, to teach how to do it. If anyone is interested let me know!

Terrible Two's

So my Past week has consisted of pretty much one thing...JAKE IN TIME OUT!!

For Example:

Games spread everywhere, like Monopoly, Mad Gab, Etc...anything really with alot of pieces.

CD's being dipped into the Toilet...YES THE TOILET. It was gross!

He painted himself with color as you saw in my last post.

He got Sophie's face with Bleach.

Opened the fridge, and pulled EVERYTHING out, resulting in Maggie eating it all.

Hot Pink Sharpie on our Chair in the front room.

Fluid...whether it be water, juice, or soda spilled all over the floor.

Drops cereal on the floor then proceeds to smoosh all the pieces into
the floor.

DOG FOOD, DOG FOOD, DOG FOOD...Pretty much all over the floor, stroller cup holder...everywhere.

He gets into Sophie's bed, wakes her up ALL THE TIME!!

It absolutely drives me CRAZY!

He has also pulled her bed over, and attempted to drag her out of the room!!

Well, if that doesn't tell you what I have been up to...it is CLEANING. The most disapointing part is that it never gets clean!! As I am cleaning one thing, he is messing up another.

Quick Update!

Well, I colored someones hair...and while I was washing her out Jake decided he needed to try. I came back to this...I washed him off and it still lingered. He got it into his hair, but luckily I got that out before it took!

This is just a CUTE picture of little Soph. She had just woken up, and had a big ol cheezer!

My sisters bird...we let Sophie see it...she thought it was cool. She grabed it a few times, and the bird(luckily) was nice and didn't snip at her!!

Randomness from this Summer Part 2

Jake loves being outside when Charlie is doing ANYTHING! He loves to wash his truck and wheeler, when he is washing Vehicles. Jake is getting to LOVE to do anything Dad does, I think that he feels big when he copies dad!! Charlie is such a good dad, Jake looks up to him so much. Charlie will spend every moment with Jake when he is home!! He is also turning into such a big helper; he throws stuff away for me, puts dishes in the sink, when I change Sophie he will wait to throw her diaper away, he will spend time helping me pick up his toys. I love that kid!

I decided to just start to give Sophie taste tests of the rice cereal, just to get her used to it for when I really start feeding her. They say it takes a little to get used to, Jake tooks a few feedings to get used to it. Sophie on the other hand Couldnt Get Enough!! She would grab my finger and SHOVE IT IN! Hilarious, sorry about my laughing in the video, but I couldn't resist!

Jake had his first game of Mini Golf, not that he really played, he picked up everyones balls...and put them right into the hole...and would sing his club all over, it was rather dangerous!! But he had a blast!

We went to the fireworks up in highland, Sophie loves them...She doesn't make a peep and just stares at them, she is so funny. Jake thought it was cool that we were "playing" in the back of the truck. It was a nice night to just chill, I love just being together as our little family!

Randomness from this Summer Part 1

My Retarded Sister CaLea trying to help Sophie stop crying, without taking her out of her seat??
So I had given Jake a Bath that Morning, and I went to finish getting ready that afternoon. He followed me in there, got in the tub and kept telling me "Baf, mom" He is so stinking cute!!

I had a baby shower for oe of my friends that I used to work with, and we went to the Olive garden. JAKE LOVES the Breadsticks, not that I blame him. Well he ate them all!! Sophie got tired so I put her into her carseat. When I looked back she had turned to her side, and was all curled up, Bow in her face and Everything!

Jake eats really well, and now cn climb in and out of the High Chair pretty well. He rarely falls asleep. So this Picture is Priceless! Do notice ALL OF EVERYHTHING ON HIS TRAY MAKES IT TO THE FLOOR. He is such a mess, when he is done he chucks everything on the floor.

Just a Wild HAIR!!

Yah, so I have been throwing around the idea to buzz Jake....Haven't done it yet.

Well Saturday, I did...IT IS ALL GONE.

He now has a Charlie Haircut!!

He thinks it feels cool...and I told him to pull his hair, he tried really hard.

It made him laugh because he couldnt pull it!!

Dr Checkup!!

So we went to the Dr Yesterday...What a trip, Here is what made it fun!!

1. Charlie had to work, so I was by myself

2. Jake had to get 1 shot

3. Sophie had to get 3 shots

4. Sophie had to get her PKU done too...Since she had a transfusion at the hospital we had to wait to get it!!

5. I HATE NEEDLES, I think I was worse off than the ones getting the shots, it brought tears...

All that said, all went well. Jake is such a tough kid!! He cried for a second, and that was that. All the nurses were suprised that it only lasted like 10 seconds!! Sophie did good through the PKU...just a little squirmy, the shots did it to her though. I think it took her like a half an hour to calm down!!

HERE ARE THEIR STATS, Sophie is tall and skinny. Jake is short and stubby.

This picture is so funny...She was doing this as soon as I took her clothes off and for the first like 10 minutes!! CROSS MY HEART HOPE TO DIE...

What a Summer!!

WELL I AM OFFICIALLY DONE WORKING!!!

But I am Doing Hair at Home Now, CALL ME!!

But our summer has been a fun one, I have been looking for some sort of Little Tykes Play thing...and I finally found one that I could Afford!! Thanks to my lovely neighbor, I now am a proud owner of a Little Tykes Castle!! Jake loves it and Played on it for hours the day we got it!!

Sophie is now tall enough to play in the Jumper!! That is a Great thing...it is something that Jake cannot get her out of, and SHE LOVES it!! It is so funny because she will keep falling asleep in it...it is so CUTE!!

Jake's new word is Elmote...he used to say Remote, and Elmo...But I guess it is easier just to make up his own word. He will bring the remote to me and say it over and OVER until I turn it on for him. He is attempting to learn to use it when I cannot turn it on fast enough!!

We are enjoying the summer, and cannot wait to enjoy the REST!!
