Random Things

So Let me explain this Picture. Charlie thought I was a dork for taking this picture, but it is really funny. We got cash to go and buy or Van, and we got it all in $100 bills. I always think it is cool to have "a" $100 bill, but 22 $100 bills was AWESOME!! We only had it for a while, but I felt rich for that moment. Anyways here it is!
Ok this picture was probably one of the WORST days I have had to date being a mom. Jake started this day off with a BANG! He woke up 'very quietly' (he does this when he wants to get or do something he knows is naughty) so I wasn't awake yet. I had left a box of cereal on the kitchen table, and he emptied it onto the floor (mind you it was Fruity Pebbles, so TINY cereal). I woke up to giggling, which I enjoyed until I saw the DISASTER...he was cracking himself up throwing it ALL OVER the kitchen!! So as I am cleaning that mess up, he got ahold of a sharpie marker and had it out all over the walls, the bedroom door, and his furnature in his room. (which only some I was able to get off, and I am going to have to refinish his furnature to get that off) So I get all upset at him, and I give him a Magic Eraser to clean it up himself. While I am in getting it off my doors, and walls he proceeds to start using wipes (like the Butt kind). So when I go in to check and see how much he was getting off, I had a WHOLE (costco refill) wipes ALL OVER his room. I think to myself ok well get it all out, can't get any worse. Meanwhile Sophie is hanging out in her crib still so I can clean, and follow Jake around cleaning up after him. So by 10am I am beat, I had planned on cleaning which wasn't getting done at this point. I also had a hair appointment coming at 10:30. So I get it to a point that my house isn't a disaster, and while I am doing hair, I was trying to keep a close tab on Jake. I heard the water come on in the Kitchen, went to check on him, and he said I just need to wash my hands. So I say ok, just hurry and then get down. After a minute or two, the water wasn't going off. So I went in to see what the trouble was, to my suprise he has emptied a almost full 32 oz of dawn into the sink (that had so convieniently gotten plugged by a bowl) and was flooding my Kitchen. At this point I NEED a Straight Jaket I have decided to even begin to think of getting things done. I was glad I had gotten my floor cleaned up from the Cereal...or that would have been Gross to clean! Once again, Sophie 'my Angel Child' that day was just playing, and being good. So 12:30 rolls along and I decide, lets lay them down so I can get some things done. I was defineatly needing a Jake Break as I call them. So, I lay them down...only to be stressed out more, because why would I think that Jake would want to lay down TODAY?? Well, after like 10 times walking in and making them be quiet and lay down again, they finally got quiet. Well not 15 min later I hear them, so I go in to THIS...
VASOLINE!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME...I jinxed myself by saying that the day couldn't get any worse (words I will NEVER use again). The only thing missing from the pictures is Sophie had a shirt on, and it looked like she had jumped into water with it, it had like a 1 in x 1 in patch that wasn't covered in Vasoline. And it was all over the walls, the pics I had of the walls just didn't do it Justice. And Jake, who had already been stripped down at this point and was in the tub. And couinsidently thought those vicious words again...but who would have thought it could get worse that that. Well by the time I got Sophie stripped down, and on her way to the bathroom, I heard water running...(not out of the faucet) ONLY WORSE! Jake had pulled the little potty that was sitting next to the tub, and was filling it up and pouring it onto the floor...OH MY HECK!!! All I can say is I looked to see how long until Charlie would be home, it was about 2:30 and he gets off at 3...I called him and told him to get home RIGHT AFTER work, I needed him to come and take care of Jake. I washed Sophie's hair like 10 times with baby shampoo first, then I used mine becuse the baby stuff just wasn't cutting it. Only to finally use a Deep Cleanser, and Dawn to help cut through the grease. if you look closely at the picture with her in the tub ( trying to get out) the water was just beading up and rolling off her body like a duck! Well I got her out, with greasy hair still (that lasted about a week, NO JOKE) and drained the tub, and made Jake sit there until his dad got home, which couldn't have come soon enough. Well to top it off, I thought he has no water, no vasoline he couldn't do any more damage...he emptied a roll of floss that was on the bathroom sink. Which really any other day wouldn't have been a big deal, but to be proceeded by all the rest...Well you get the picture. I WAS DONE.
Well the next story happened about a week or so later...2 words: Nail Polish
He got it all over my leather Couch, he was lucky that I had someone there getting their haircut, so it gave me time to cool off and handle it better. Which I need to work on...but Luckily it came off.
The next couple of Collages, are pictures that I have found on my camera. I cannot delete them, because I think they are funny. SO enjoy Photography by Jake.

Yep, he took a picture down a Pringles Can...so funny. And that pic of Kason's eye, the flash was probably REALLY bright!

Bath Time

So I have put Kason into the tub with the Kids for the first time, and I told them "NO SPLASHING with Kason"...well Jake thought it would be more fun to splash him, then soon realized it wasn't. Because he got removed from the tub (and had to sit in the bathroom in his towel until I was done). So there were only Sophie and Kason. She was so funny, she would get soap (doesn't realize that she has to push down the dispenser to get anything so there wasn't really any soap) and wash Kason's belly. She thought she was so awesome. Which she is. Kason hates to be naked, except when he is in the tub. He hates getting his diaper changed, getting dressed...he kind of throws a tantrum. Anyways here are some cute pictures!

Monkey Island

There is this new place in Lehi, called Monkey Island. It is kind of fun...it is all those blow up toys. We went with my family, and I thought it was kind of cool because adults are free and kids 3 and older are only $5.
Anyways a little off subject my little Jake is not so little any more, he turned 3 and now we have to start paying for him when we go places, He is now a little boy. Where has that time gone. It still gets me that he is growing up so fast!
Back on subject, Jake loved this place, and me and Charlie took turns playing on them with him and Sophie. It was funny, because Sophie would just giggle the whole way down. They thought it was great!! So here are some pics.
(sorry the pictures are blury, but it was the best I could do since they were being crazy!)

Kason Dale Thurston 10.29.2010

Kason has been such a blessing in our home. He is so fun, the kids LOVE him to death. He has brought our home so much love, and we love him.

He is already 6 weeks old, it is crazy how fast time flies by. It is almost Christmas, that is insane!

Here is my version of how Kason got here!
(sorry I linked this on accident to the Picture...and cannot fix it.)
Well it all started on that Tuesday before. I wasn't feeling well so I went into the Doctors to make sure all was well. And my blood pressure was a bit high, so he sent me into the hospital to monitor me for a while. Everything was borderline, but fine. So they sent me home {on bedrest mind you}, and a urine test. I had to put all of it into a Jug, YAH GROSS...and come back 24 hours later to get it tested. So into the Hopital...again. They hooked me up to the monitors again, and was checking my blood pressure. Well yet again, my blood pressure was a little high, and my urine test cameback high...but fine enough to send me home YET again {and still on bedrest} ARG! So I got to sit around all day until Friday Morning! As great as it sounds...it was awful!
Anyways, the good part:
So I was scheduled to go back for my C-Section at 7am, so I had to be to the hospital by 5 AM...not my favorite. But I did wake up great, and I was excited so it wasn't too bad.

Little Kason came into the world at 7:36 in the Morn
ing. It took them a while to get him out, they kept saying, he is a big one. I kept thinking right, whatever a big 7 pounds maybe?? Sophie had been my biggest at 6 lbs 15 oz...so I didn't think much of it until...the nurse said 8 lbs 4 oz. I just about lost it and almost asked for her to double check if he was really mine?? Not to mention he had
LOTS of DARK hair. So he didn't fit my ususal mold, but he was mine and that is all that mattered. And I wan't pregnant anymore, and he was
a a Stud!
Here are some pictures from the Hospital.

Yah I Stink at this Blogging THING!

My new years resolution...Blogging. I want to be good at it, so I have all of the fun stuff documented. So here I am saying it PUBLICLY so I hold myself to it.

And I will get a Kason Post up. I just have to Upload some pictures, so it will be more FUN!!

So stay tuned to how awesome I am going to be at this, and FOR OUR NEW ADDITION!

Let's Be Honest

Ok so I have not been in the mood to do ANY Blogging, but I really need to so...
I think that I have been avoiding it because I HATE uploading Pictures, therefore to get me to post, there will be no pictures on this one SORRY!! Anyway, Lets Begin.

Jake:
He has become quite a talker, he has a bigger vocabulary than I even know, because HE IS ALWAYS suprising me. Some of the funny things he says:

Me: What do you want to do today?
Jake: (really sarcastic too by the way) I don't Know... or I will get 'go to the gas station, and I want a Bug Juice and a Sucker'

Me: What do you want to wear today?
Jake: My Comfy Pants. (they are Fleece ones btw)

He hears anything from a Siren, to a Helecopter he yells "shhh Mom, listen" My favorite is how he says them... a siren is a 'Weew Weew' An Ambulance is a 'ambuance' He is so funny.

He works the iPod better than some people, and loves watching Movies on it. And Playing his Puzzle Games. He tells me 'I love you So much' and gives me the best kisses. (grabs my face, turns his head and lays them on!) such a Boy.

He is starting to really care about Sophie, he tells people on a regular basis, 'that is my Sophie' and he is obviously the only one that can be mean to her.

He Eats Cereal with milk now All BY HIMSELF...some mornings it can be a bit messy, but he says 'oops sorry mom' when he spills.

He gets completely dressed by himself, shirts on the right way (most of the time), and even shoes on the right feet.

When he Takes his shoes off he likes to either chuck them all over the room, or lines them up right next to eachother (and they have to be perfect). I guess it just depends on his mood

His Favorite Movies, (right now) are: Ratatuille(sp?), Monsters Inc., Toy Story, Marmaduke, and Up. He is really liking to sing, and we sing all sorts of songs his favorite ones are: I Love to See the Temple, Sunbeam Song, Wheels on the Bus, Monkeys on the Bed, and the two he learned at Swimming Lessons...Motorboat, and Tiny Turtle.

He can now ride his new Big Boy bike, with training wheels. And LOVES to run it into things. I think this may become a problem, but for now it is HiLARIOUS! So sorry if you are the one he runs over.

HE IS NOT Potty Trained, we keep trying but he just doesn't care. So we are not pushing it too hard. But 3 in Diapers may Just Kill me!!

He tells me I am awesome, and pretty. What a Charmer.

He yells at Maggie when she is barking, and tells her to Shut Up! Which Sophie has picked up as well.

I love this BOY, and he is so excited for the New Baby. He has officially named him George...so if you hear him refer to George that is Probably who he is talking about. But it may be his 'Build a Bear' Dog, his Fish, or his Monkey that all have come by this name as well. No I HAVE NO Clue where he came up with it, but it is cute.

SOPHIE BUG:

Wow, what a precious little tough cookie I have on my hands. She is growing up WAY TOO FAST! I love her so much, and she is an Angel!

She sleeps in Most morinings until anywhere between 9-11, and I LOVE it. The only time she is up earlier, is when Jake cannot resist getting in the Crib and waking her up...only for me to hear the both of them giggling histarically and jumping in that said crib! Only for Sophie to be cranky and ready for a nap by 11.

She loves her babies. I think that it was one of her first words...She cannot get enough of them. It makes me so excited to see her with the 'real' baby.

She Love Jake, and Loves to tattle on him too. But she copies everything he does, and wants to be able to do everything he does.

I have yet to see her face be less than Bruised, Scratched, or have a goose egg. I call it her banana roll...picture her falling, rolling on her cute little belly, only to slam her head on whatever it is she smacks it on. No I do not beat her, I really have been trying to get her to catch herself, only to fail at that attempt.

SHE EATS everything...when her food is gone, she eats the rest of Jake's food. I think that she would eat all day if the food was endlessly suppied in front of her.

She is in Nursery now, and LOVES it. Thank Goodness too, I love being able to just drop her off. Jake had a rough time for a while, but is Great NOW!!

She loves to read, Her and Jake will lay down reading books. It is cute when Jake reads them to her. You can tell the ones I read to them alot, because Jake will recite them to Sophie when he reads to her.

Sophie loves to play with Trucks, and Jake hates that she likes to play with his 'Boy' toys.

She has a obsession with ONE blanket...doesn't sleep well without it. And I will be honest it doesn't get washed nearly enough. But when she has to have it, she has to have it. It is something that I will only let her have in bed. But sometimes she pulls it out of the crib, and cries when I put it back?? She never liked binkies, so I guess the blanket is her thing?

Some Funny Sophie Phrases:

'I don wan it'
'you do that'
'Jake, you trouble'
'mi banket'
'suup'
'suu uup'- said to the dog
'wash out' - watch out

She has the best dance moves around, and loves listening to music.

She loves drinking, if you give her a drink, she will drink the whole thing without taking a breath...not kidding. It is GONE! And by the time she is done, she is breathing heavy, and her eys are watering. She probably cries the most over getting a drink, she is getting better though.

Well, Now that I have talked way too Much...I have to do it for My Sake mostly so Sorry.

We are all Super excited for this new Arrival coming in 9 days. I am not sure I am ready to take on 3 kids quite yet. But I am definately ready to be done with being pregnant. I cannot wait to see him, and I really have no choice but to be 'ready'. So I say Bring it ON!!

Labor Day Weekend

Well we were finally able to go camping!! It has been a while. We went up to Soapstone Basin Up past Heber. It was a blast and SO SO Relaxing. Jake kept chanting, 'camping, camping we are camping' He CRACKS me up!! On a funny note, when Maggie gets annoying Charlie always tells her to bite the wall. Well Jake has picked up this habit as well. Well when we were up there Charlie said this to Maggie only for Jake to respond with a REALLY confused look on his face, 'there are no walls camping, dad.' Oh My, I couldn't stop laughing. He is getting to Big and Smart for his own good. I think that this 3 year old thing is going to be a trip! Well we went on 4-Wheeler rides, Played in the Fire, and got SO SO Dirty and LOVED every minute of it.

7.21.2010

A culmination of My SLACKERHOOD, turned into a LONG POST!! But I am Caught UP!

All I can say it has been 4 MONTHS since I have really posted anything...So it may take me a couple posts to catch up. But here is what we have been up to and some fun pictures, so I hope you enjoy.

March...
Well March was a Crazy Month, from Sophie's 1st Birthday to Finding out I was Pregnant!! Not to mention that Sophie Decided that she was finally ready to walk, and Jake didn't I guess because he was CONSTANTLY pushing her over. I had to keep a close eye on them. We got to go with the Lone Peak HS Administration to the Roof, and were treated to dinner, I was SO SO glad that I was having a good day that day!! It was Delish!
April...
It was mine and Charlie's 6th Wedding anniverary. Which we celebrated by taking the kids to the Aquarium. Jake loved it and Sophie got really good at saying FISH, but it did get said with alot of spit, and it was really cute. We attempted the Movie Theatre with Jake to see How To Train Your Dragon. He did pretty good until the last 15 min or so. And his favorite part was the kids popcorn pack. And the rest of April was just alot of Park visits when the weather was cooperating!
May...
We did alot of staying home since I found out I was Pregnant because I was so sick. I was sure I was having twin girls, seeing how I was TWICE as sick as I was with Sophie. Jake was WAY stir crazy by May, and he just wanted to be outside. We did my siblings Field Day at school, alot of walks, and trips to the park. And NAPS, I was having a hard time sleeping until I got pregnant and I couldnt stay Awake. Glad my 2 kiddos still take naps, it was a LIFESAVER!
June...
I started feeling better, and I got alot of energy. So we did alot of things OUT of the house, I do have to admit I was home way too MUCH. A big milestone in my eyes was I was FINALLY able to get a ponytail in Sophie's hair, which Jake soon corrected me that they are TonyPails...He is a hoot!Charlie thought I was way too excited about it. I have had ponys and Piggy Tails in I was even able to get 6 elastics in too...Pictures soon to follow. We went to 7 Peaks with my family, and Jake had a BLAST. He also had his first swimming lessons. He did really well, the only thing he absolutly hated was being on his back. He is getting used to the idea, it may take him a while but that is OK. We also tested out the Splash Pad in Highland, it took Jake a bit to like the squirting water, but it was hilarious to watch those 2 play in them. I got some funny pictures of Sophie running away from them. And since the weather finally got nice Jake and Sophie wanted to go swimming everyday, so we decided to just get them a pool. So almost everyday we go out for a dip. It is nice to have it right there, they are both little fish and Absolutely LOVE the water. Oh and we found out too that we will be having another little Boy.
And Now to Where we sit now...JULY
And hopefully I will be able to keep up, because this is a Pain! Well I feel like I have totally gotten HUGE this time around a whole heck of alot faster than the previous two!! I hear it happens, but I am now not wanting to get any bigger. Since I am over being sick, finally, we booked ourselves up this month. We started out the month by staying in a Hotel for a couple days, Relaxing and Swimming ALL DAY!! It was nice to get away, even if we were only 30 minutes away. It started out rough but it all worked out. Long story short we booked a Hotel...Mostly for a Pool so we could play in it all day. We booked it through the hotel chain itself, and made sure there was a pool because we had been tricked before. Well we get there, got into our swimsuits...Low and Behold the pool was under construction. Well we were upset, after a long phone call we got refunded and went down the street to another hotel. It was a little more, but ended up being perfect, we got a room right by the outside door and the POOL! Anyway it ended up being a GREAT trip. We then got home and visited family for the afternoon who were up camping for the 4th. Did fireworks on the 4th with our little family, and had so much fun. Went to the Pool, Steel Days Parade, and the Carnival. And I entered Sophie into the Steel Days Baby Contest, and she WON!! I was a proud MAMA!! Went to the Park a few times, went to lunch with my Brother and His Girlfriend...Who now is offically his Fiance. Yah that is weird, I still think of him in High School. I am way excited though!! I finally will have the Opportunity to be an Aunt when the time is right!! I have been WAITING for that! She is a sweet girl, and they both seem VERY HAPPY! I think that Just about does it. Enjoy the Pictures!

Sophie is such a fun girl, and we decided to let her attemt to eat a bowl of oatmeal by herself. Mostly because she wouldnt eat it while I was trying to feed it to her. She had WAY too much fun eating it though!
Jake now Poses his CHEESER face for the camera when we take pictures, he cracks me up!

They are usually screaming, ok Sophie is usually screaming becasue Jake bugs her in the car. Which is then followed by Jake getting in trouble, which causes him to scream...so this is a GOOD DAY!!
Jake and his cars. I love them because I can get them out and he has been know to play with them Quietly for the most part for like an hour and a half. That is the longest he will sit doing anything. So I have made an investment to them...Dollar by Dollar, because it is PRICELESS!
Well That is all for now, I am hopefully going to post a bunch of Pictures within the next couple of days, but I am burnt out of typing for now!
Thanks for sticking through This one

It's Official!

It's Offical That Jake HAS WAY TOO MANY CARS.
We decided to take a picture to document this Obsession that Jake has. The funny part is that this is only a FRACTION of what he has. These are the ones that were in his room, where we could easily find them. Now I know he has at least double what is shown in Matchbox Cars, concidering that he got 30 New ones for Christmas!! But he does LOVE, LOVE, LOVE his cars and it has kept him busy for hours.

It's Official That We Have Started Potty Training!!
Ok this one is quite the Achivement!! We have been attempting to do this now for MONTHS! I got so frusterated because he would pee BEFORE we got to the potty, or we would sit on the potty for 10-15 min, and he would pee right AFTER!! I got to the point that it was just easier to have his diaper on. Well a few days ago I was going to be home all day, and so I thought I would give it another try. We got his Underwear on, and like before he Peed in them. I had one more clean pair that I could find, and they had cars on them. I told him he couldn't get his cars wet, or he couldn't wear them anymore. Well, we had a successfull potty after that. AND GUESS WHAT, he has not wet in his pants since!! Something must have just Clicked, because he is totally good about it now, I want to know what changed...But I probably never will!! But I really don't care why, because I cannot tell you how DANG EXCITED I AM!! We are still doing diapers at nap time, and bed time. But the cool thing is that he has had little to NO pee in them when he gets up, and he has started going to the bathroomall by himself. We went to the Dollar Store and got a canister and some treats...and he has such a love for stickers that we got some of those too! So he gets a treat and gets to put a sticker on the canister, and he loves that he gets to put stickers on it just as much if not more than getting the treat! Anyways here are a few cute pics of how excited he is about it!

It's Official That Jake is NOW OBSESSED with Buzz and Woody.
I had to find Toy Story, and I finally Found it on VHS?? Remember this, it has been FOREVER since I had watched something on VHS! I am sure that there are kids that don't even know what VHS is, how funny. But Jake loved the movie, and now plays with as he calls it, 'Buzz Woody'. He is too cute! And we have watched that movie so many times since I got it!

Well...I am done for the MOMENT anyway!! Thanks for reading, and Letting me Brag about my Cute AWESOME Kids, that I LOVE SO MUCH!!

Christmas and Stuff

Well, we had an amazing Christmas. We went up toTemple Square, and rode Trax...Jake loved it! It was a bit chilly, but we only walked around for a little bit, and Jake only fell a couple times. Which was really funny because he would fall and jump right back up like it never happened. That kid kills me, he is such a stud!! We were blessed by friends and family, and had a miraculous Christmas. I know what Christmas is all about, and were shown in so many ways that Chirstmas is about our Savior, Love, and Giving. So I just wanted to say THANKS!!

Anyways or Christmas was AWESOME!! We went to my family's house for Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day at my In laws (minus the couple hours we got to talk to my Brother in the Ukraine)

So, First off my family spoiled us...and Jake! Jake got a Tag Jr (which I LOVE, and would recommend to everyone!), a track for his Matchbox Cars, and some Matchbox cars (of coarse, you can never have too many right??) Sophie got some cute clothes, and a little Learning Bunny which is HILARIOUS! I got some boots (which Sophie is modeling in the Pic Below, LOL) a Liz Lemon Joseph Smith Picture, a picture frame, and like 8 new swimming suits (funny story, but my mom went a little crazy at the Modbe Closeout). Charlie got Simpsons Scene it, some Shirts, and pants. THANKS! Bagley Christmas Below!

On Christmas morning we did our own thing at 7am, and it was FUNNY. Jake is NOT a morning person, not sure where he gets that...?? But whenever we have to wake him up it takes a minute. So that morning we went in, said Jake time to set up...we got a GLARE, and he just layed there. The night before I told him that Santa was going to come, and we needed to put his stocking out! So Christmas morning, when he WASN'T getting up Charlie said...Jake come see what Santa brought...I have never seen him move that fast in the morning!! His head shot up...jumped out of bed, and FLEW into the front room! He got a Tag Jr book, Dr Suess book, a Castle and some Knights, Pack of 10 Matchbox cars...Yes I know we have quite the collection...but that is going to have to be another post! Cracker Treats, Drinks, Popcorn Pusher, Truck with a Car Trailor, Woody Chapstick (his new obsession Woody and Chapstick), Spongebob Growing Washcloth, and an Elmo DVD. Oh, and a Mater, which I guess we are collection now seeing as we have 3 different ones??

After we had our first Real Santa Christmas, and the EXCITEMENT!! I loved it...Christmas just isn't the same without KIDS! I loves this year that JAke got all excited, and was even singing Merry Chrismas all day!
We headed over to the In Laws...Which then brought on more Spoiledness!! Not to mention that my Brother in Law, and his wife make us all Biscuts and Gravy...MMM!! Jake Raked in again...He got a Black and Decker Tool kit (toy one), a Mater cup, Toy Story Shirt, and Cars Jammies, and his favorite is that talking Dump Truck (which is a very funny, sarcastic Truck might I add) Sophie got some Jammies, a Doll and Stroller, a stuffed Pigle, and puppy. Can I just SAY SPOILED...we have been blessed this year THANKS EVERYONE!

Well that will just about do it! Here are some pictures of when we went to Temple Square>>>ENJOY!

JUST A FINAL PLUG...I am starting a buisness, and selling Discovery Toys. I need to do some parties to get this thing going...so let me know and we can set it up. There are great incentives for doing a party, and FREE TOYS!!
