Random Things

So Let me explain this Picture. Charlie thought I was a dork for taking this picture, but it is really funny. We got cash to go and buy or Van, and we got it all in $100 bills. I always think it is cool to have "a" $100 bill, but 22 $100 bills was AWESOME!! We only had it for a while, but I felt rich for that moment. Anyways here it is!
Ok this picture was probably one of the WORST days I have had to date being a mom. Jake started this day off with a BANG! He woke up 'very quietly' (he does this when he wants to get or do something he knows is naughty) so I wasn't awake yet. I had left a box of cereal on the kitchen table, and he emptied it onto the floor (mind you it was Fruity Pebbles, so TINY cereal). I woke up to giggling, which I enjoyed until I saw the DISASTER...he was cracking himself up throwing it ALL OVER the kitchen!! So as I am cleaning that mess up, he got ahold of a sharpie marker and had it out all over the walls, the bedroom door, and his furnature in his room. (which only some I was able to get off, and I am going to have to refinish his furnature to get that off) So I get all upset at him, and I give him a Magic Eraser to clean it up himself. While I am in getting it off my doors, and walls he proceeds to start using wipes (like the Butt kind). So when I go in to check and see how much he was getting off, I had a WHOLE (costco refill) wipes ALL OVER his room. I think to myself ok well get it all out, can't get any worse. Meanwhile Sophie is hanging out in her crib still so I can clean, and follow Jake around cleaning up after him. So by 10am I am beat, I had planned on cleaning which wasn't getting done at this point. I also had a hair appointment coming at 10:30. So I get it to a point that my house isn't a disaster, and while I am doing hair, I was trying to keep a close tab on Jake. I heard the water come on in the Kitchen, went to check on him, and he said I just need to wash my hands. So I say ok, just hurry and then get down. After a minute or two, the water wasn't going off. So I went in to see what the trouble was, to my suprise he has emptied a almost full 32 oz of dawn into the sink (that had so convieniently gotten plugged by a bowl) and was flooding my Kitchen. At this point I NEED a Straight Jaket I have decided to even begin to think of getting things done. I was glad I had gotten my floor cleaned up from the Cereal...or that would have been Gross to clean! Once again, Sophie 'my Angel Child' that day was just playing, and being good. So 12:30 rolls along and I decide, lets lay them down so I can get some things done. I was defineatly needing a Jake Break as I call them. So, I lay them down...only to be stressed out more, because why would I think that Jake would want to lay down TODAY?? Well, after like 10 times walking in and making them be quiet and lay down again, they finally got quiet. Well not 15 min later I hear them, so I go in to THIS...
VASOLINE!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME...I jinxed myself by saying that the day couldn't get any worse (words I will NEVER use again). The only thing missing from the pictures is Sophie had a shirt on, and it looked like she had jumped into water with it, it had like a 1 in x 1 in patch that wasn't covered in Vasoline. And it was all over the walls, the pics I had of the walls just didn't do it Justice. And Jake, who had already been stripped down at this point and was in the tub. And couinsidently thought those vicious words again...but who would have thought it could get worse that that. Well by the time I got Sophie stripped down, and on her way to the bathroom, I heard water running...(not out of the faucet) ONLY WORSE! Jake had pulled the little potty that was sitting next to the tub, and was filling it up and pouring it onto the floor...OH MY HECK!!! All I can say is I looked to see how long until Charlie would be home, it was about 2:30 and he gets off at 3...I called him and told him to get home RIGHT AFTER work, I needed him to come and take care of Jake. I washed Sophie's hair like 10 times with baby shampoo first, then I used mine becuse the baby stuff just wasn't cutting it. Only to finally use a Deep Cleanser, and Dawn to help cut through the grease. if you look closely at the picture with her in the tub ( trying to get out) the water was just beading up and rolling off her body like a duck! Well I got her out, with greasy hair still (that lasted about a week, NO JOKE) and drained the tub, and made Jake sit there until his dad got home, which couldn't have come soon enough. Well to top it off, I thought he has no water, no vasoline he couldn't do any more damage...he emptied a roll of floss that was on the bathroom sink. Which really any other day wouldn't have been a big deal, but to be proceeded by all the rest...Well you get the picture. I WAS DONE.
Well the next story happened about a week or so later...2 words: Nail Polish
He got it all over my leather Couch, he was lucky that I had someone there getting their haircut, so it gave me time to cool off and handle it better. Which I need to work on...but Luckily it came off.
The next couple of Collages, are pictures that I have found on my camera. I cannot delete them, because I think they are funny. SO enjoy Photography by Jake.

Yep, he took a picture down a Pringles Can...so funny. And that pic of Kason's eye, the flash was probably REALLY bright!

Bath Time

So I have put Kason into the tub with the Kids for the first time, and I told them "NO SPLASHING with Kason"...well Jake thought it would be more fun to splash him, then soon realized it wasn't. Because he got removed from the tub (and had to sit in the bathroom in his towel until I was done). So there were only Sophie and Kason. She was so funny, she would get soap (doesn't realize that she has to push down the dispenser to get anything so there wasn't really any soap) and wash Kason's belly. She thought she was so awesome. Which she is. Kason hates to be naked, except when he is in the tub. He hates getting his diaper changed, getting dressed...he kind of throws a tantrum. Anyways here are some cute pictures!

Monkey Island

There is this new place in Lehi, called Monkey Island. It is kind of fun...it is all those blow up toys. We went with my family, and I thought it was kind of cool because adults are free and kids 3 and older are only $5.
Anyways a little off subject my little Jake is not so little any more, he turned 3 and now we have to start paying for him when we go places, He is now a little boy. Where has that time gone. It still gets me that he is growing up so fast!
Back on subject, Jake loved this place, and me and Charlie took turns playing on them with him and Sophie. It was funny, because Sophie would just giggle the whole way down. They thought it was great!! So here are some pics.
(sorry the pictures are blury, but it was the best I could do since they were being crazy!)

Kason Dale Thurston 10.29.2010

Kason has been such a blessing in our home. He is so fun, the kids LOVE him to death. He has brought our home so much love, and we love him.

He is already 6 weeks old, it is crazy how fast time flies by. It is almost Christmas, that is insane!

Here is my version of how Kason got here!
(sorry I linked this on accident to the Picture...and cannot fix it.)
Well it all started on that Tuesday before. I wasn't feeling well so I went into the Doctors to make sure all was well. And my blood pressure was a bit high, so he sent me into the hospital to monitor me for a while. Everything was borderline, but fine. So they sent me home {on bedrest mind you}, and a urine test. I had to put all of it into a Jug, YAH GROSS...and come back 24 hours later to get it tested. So into the Hopital...again. They hooked me up to the monitors again, and was checking my blood pressure. Well yet again, my blood pressure was a little high, and my urine test cameback high...but fine enough to send me home YET again {and still on bedrest} ARG! So I got to sit around all day until Friday Morning! As great as it sounds...it was awful!
Anyways, the good part:
So I was scheduled to go back for my C-Section at 7am, so I had to be to the hospital by 5 AM...not my favorite. But I did wake up great, and I was excited so it wasn't too bad.

Little Kason came into the world at 7:36 in the Morn
ing. It took them a while to get him out, they kept saying, he is a big one. I kept thinking right, whatever a big 7 pounds maybe?? Sophie had been my biggest at 6 lbs 15 oz...so I didn't think much of it until...the nurse said 8 lbs 4 oz. I just about lost it and almost asked for her to double check if he was really mine?? Not to mention he had
LOTS of DARK hair. So he didn't fit my ususal mold, but he was mine and that is all that mattered. And I wan't pregnant anymore, and he was
a a Stud!
Here are some pictures from the Hospital.
